Being part of the InfoBridge development team, what does that actually look like? What is expected of you? Here's a sneak peek ...
We work with the entire team to work out what our apps should look like and which techniques they use. We like to discuss this. That is daily fare. We are often on the same page when there are new techniques to be discovered. We sail our own course and that is why we determine which of the latest frameworks or Azure components we use for the modernization of our apps and tools.
Sometimes we are a bit stubborn and we want to work a little too much with bleeding edge techniques. Then we cut our own fingers and bleeding edge becomes a bleeding finger. Unfortunately! But… learned a lot again. We always fix it with a smile and a little sweat. This way we keep it challenging for ourselves.
If you make your hobby your job, you never have to work a day of your life. That's how it often feels at InfoBridge and that contributes to a highly motivated team. Also outside of development.
Yet we are often also serious. For example, we not only look critically at our cloud-based apps, but we also serve a large group of customers who still use our on-premise software to their full satisfaction. And we are constantly working to professionalize our online operation, such as further utilizing Application Insights and PowerBI to detect errors before they cause a failure. Our cloud-based apps are purchased via a subscription and our critical eye keeps an eye on that too. After all, we are always very serious about safety and GDPR. Stand out & impress is the motto.
As we start the day with the stand-ups of each team, we like to end the day with a game of table football, a game of Mario Kart and on Friday with a drink and a snack to start the weekend. Which snack that is is often a surprise to us too. Colleagues from all over the world means an international snack board ;-)
